    Tilt and trim removal

    2002 225 efi # 0t528354.

fluid is leaking out of the bottom of the tilt and trim. How hard is it to remove unit from motor and rebuild? I have done several on Yamahas. Thinking it needs all new seals in it. I didn't see a write up or a sticky on this. All help is appreciated.

I removed and replaced mine by myself, it was my first time doing it. I wasn't too bad except for lining the transom brackets back up.

Is there a step by step video or instructions on doing it? Do you have to pull motor to do the job?

I did not pull motor. I did a google search and found something on The Hull Truth. It was photographs of the service manual. If I can find it I will send you a link.

Ok I appreciate it. I can't seem to find anything. It looks like it is leaking at the bottom where a long pin goes through the whole unit. I'm thinking there are prints down there .

Get a manual, it shows all the steps and an exploded schematic. Mine leaked same area, I tore it down completely and replaced all seals.
