    Ranger 391V

What’s everyone’s opinion on these? I currently have a 362v and have been thinking about getting something bigger. I was figuring to get something newer as well. However, this boat is priced right. I’m assuming that the ride will be similar to what I have, and probably even a little more stable when fishing. Only complaint I have with these boats is there is no cooler. Been doing without it for many years in my boat. Just would like to hear what anyone has to say about these boats. Thanks

I had a 1991 390 and I loved that boat. Yes, it will ride better than your 362. I had it when my kids were little, so the floor space was needed.

IMO they wear like checker cab cars, seem to be built tough to last, but as far as a boat ice chest, most arn't true ice chests, so just use a real carry on

Love my 392. Had it since 2004 and don't even think about getting another one. Fishes good stable runs rough water good and its dry. And its fast if you need it. Len

I love mine. while I could see getting another boat for pleasure, for fishing it has everything I need in the right proportions. Only thing I would add is an insertable deck extension for days when you are going to be flipping. Beyond that it is a great boat...

I'm with the rest of these guys. I had a 392, the dual console version and I Loved it!! That boat was a fishing machine and much more stable of a boat than my 521. If it checks out.....BUY IT! LOL

Thanks for everyone’s input. It is a 1995 model and has the deck extension. I’m trying to set up a time to go look at it. If it’s more stable than a 521 that’s really impressive.

I had a 1995 392XT with a deck extension. Never before, and never since have I been in a more stable boat when the trolling motor down. I sold it because it was single axle and I wanted a dual axle boat. Sometimes I really regret my logic.

That was my dream boat growing up.

I've owned a couple of 21's for fishing big water tournaments but can honestly tell you that if I was just looking to go fishing, a 391 would still be my dream boat. If it is in good shape and what you want, go for it!

I currently own a 1996 391 and the only draw back is the rod box. Any rods over 7' 3" will have to go one the deck. I have yet to find any other dislikes with my boat. The performance is fantastic 72 MPH with a 2011 Pro X/S 200 with a 26 Tempest prop. loaded and ready to fish and no head wind. Fish-ability is also fantastic no complaints what soever 80 lb. 24 volt Ultrex has held and will move the boat excellent in any conditions I have been in East TN to date.

    Allen,
That pic of your boat just made me miss my 392 even more. That rig looks amazing and the trailer really finishes it off perfetly. If I were you I would never sell that boat...ever!LOL

I grew up in a 395 which was the Fish and Ski dual console version. It was a fantastic boat that I should have never sold.
