I'm sure someone has had a set stolen somewhere but I doubt it's a common problem. They attach with a bolt and nut so you could double nut them or damaged the threads to make them harder to remove.

Probably get some locking nuts to put on to atleast make it a little harder and longer to get off. I have access to a welder so I may put a weld bead on the nuts to it would make it even harder to get off.

Boat buckles come with distorted thread locknuts. So they are not fun to remove but a battery powered impact would make short work of them. I am sure that some people steal them but if they want them that bad they are going to get them anyways.

I like the smaller ones, which ever model has the 1-1/2” straps.

Used mine officially for the first time today. Don't know why I waited so long to buy a pair. They are easy and convenient to use.

Make sure you get the universal brackets too. I also installed boat buckles on my 190tx recently.
