    Four gifts ...

    1) Something she wants.
    2) Something she needs.
    3) Something to wear.
    4) Something to read.

And a bonus package ... something to eat.
Whoever wrote the 'Four Gift Rule' didn't know my girlfriend.
She's a snacker, Christmas is a perfect day for it.

And for Chance (TritonMan250), things are going to be different for you soon.
Unless you correct your course of thought entirely, you are very screwed.
No matter how much it's requested, you do NOT buy a treadmill as a gift.
And if you are going to do it, the next package better be expensive jewelry.

    A new sewer line.

Seriously, we decided we're spending so much on our master bathroom remodel and the sewer line that has collapsed, we're not going to exchange gifts to each other. There's nothing that either one of us need that we can't just go buy. The only thing I want is stuff for the boat and she doesn't know anything about that. She's never worn any article of clothing I've ever bought her. So, we are just going to load the kids and the grandkids up.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

After 20 years I believe I know and understand my wife better than you do. She is already wanting to open it early. Yes she knows what it is. Got some other gifts also, but we buy what we need not what we want, well most of the time anyways.

I was thinking the same thing, no way I would buy my wife anything related to house chores for Christmas.

Not a log, I don't have a log. I mean you know. If I had a log, not in the sense that you think I said I did.

My wife happens to be finishing up her bachelor degree this year, actually has about 14 days left in her last class, so I got her a very nice heart shaped diamond pendant to go with the earings that I got her 4 years ago. Kind of combine graduation and Christmas and get her something really nice. All her family and friends are also sending me graduation cards that I will put in a box for her since we can't have a party for her at this time.

And I already took her to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Saturday night, she thinks that is the only thing she is getting.

So far I've gotten my better half a charm bracelet, she picked out a flannel shirt and a couple of tank tops from Deluth. I am still going to get her a pair of converse shoes, and maybe a pair of jeans. I am also building a blanket chest for her also.
