    Smart Strike card any good?

I was thinking of picking up a Wisconsin SmartStrike card for Crappie and Walleye in the summer. Got the LM & SM bass figured out for the most part but Crappie are hard to come bye once spawning ends. Anyone use one and are they any good or just a waste of money?

It has the same maps as the Lakemaster and Lakemaster Plus cards. Just has the additional fish location prediction software. Does an OK job of giving you a general idea of where to look if you are clueless.

I have the SmartStrike WI card and find it useful for finding starting points on lakes I rarely fish. Yes, I could do map study instead, but I like the shortcut of using the card.

I think it is an excellent time saver. I really use the spot on spot search to the max. As the others have pointed out mostly common knowledge to the seasoned vets. At my age I am pretty well seasoned but I like the help it offers.

Save your money and just get the regular Lakemaster card.

I finally got a reply from HB about smartstrike telling me to fish on dry land.
They confirmed smartstrike does not take into account water level offset.
In my case the lake was at 57% capacity.
Something to keep in mind when considering smartstrike.

The lake I fish the most up in Hayward only changes a foot or two, so water level change is not a concern. I can always use help finding fish but do a ok job by myself. Like I said, summer Crappie have been elusive and I would take any help I can get. Saying that, all fish get lock jaw at times and they just dont jump in my boat. A camera has tought me so much, I can put it down on a rock finger, see 10-20 SM bass, and they will not bite, not even on small suckers. I have had the same experience with Walleye. So I know just finding fish does not help some days. I think thats part of the fun.

Do you have the Aqua vue? I've been seeing some really interesting footage of how fish behave down there.
