I think you may need to look at your hinges again, there are aluminium. Can’t understand why a manufacturer would do this other than to be cheap

If yours are aluminum then most mfg would be aluminum they all use the same 3 rd party parts.
i have had a 186 a 21xhp and a trx21 if they are aluminum they hold up well

Ive owned a few brands and also had a look some others and these are the only ones I’ve found that are aluminium. In fact I thought mine were stainless until a friend with a 18 Pro had to replace all of his them we checked more thoroughlyOriginally Posted by gambler4
Yeah...those aluminum hinges are crap. As soon as mine wear out I'm going to replace them with stainless. Wish they would hurry up and wear out...been waiting to replace them since I bought this TR-20 back in 2003.
