    Question Humminbird 360

Looking for some feedback on the 360 unit, thinking about getting one to pair with my Helix 10 Mega, pros/cons? thanks

That technology has been in use for about 6 years.
There are 1272 posts here about it-- http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=173633

If there a specific question about an application you have?

It is suitable for some applications and not for some others.

I had one and took it off. Not worth the money IMO. Some like it I found it to be more trouble that it was worth

Until I installed an Ultrex, 360 held the mantle of the most useful piece of gear I'd ever purchased. I'm going to guess that you fish Erie and you'll find 360 is really good at picking out rock. I paid for my 360 in a couple weeks by winning back-to-back big fish prizes with a big smallie caught of rockpiles I never knew existed until I saw them for the first time on 360.

I do not have the 360 yet for my ultrex, but I would be just as interested in why some didn't like it. Troy... I followed your posts about it already. Any others care to share? Did you feel it just didn't work, didn't fit your style of fishing... just curious.

Seems like that would have been the next improvement by now. I'm just surprised, in this day and age where these electronics are updated every year or 2, that the 360 has not been improved upon. I'm sure they already have the next one figured out... but as long as the old one is still selling and the competion isn't closing in on similar technology, I guess they have no rush to offer anything else. Simply my opinion though. I sure wish something new would come on out though.

Let me throw this at you guys, I have a few options for upgrades, looking to spend around 5k which will include the Ultrex 36v and units. I have an option to get a Helix 10Mega gen2 and 360 for 2k,or skip the 10/360 and add a 12" solex to my current system which includes the following, 898/998/1199, I plan on using 1199 for Nav with either system

The Helix would be the better choice to share data with your current units. It has the same menu system also.

A Helix 10 MEGA SI with bow 360 is $2700 MSRP.

    A SOLIX 12 SI is $2700 MSRP.

IF you get the iPilot LINK and want to also share data between/among units, you have to include the Ethernet Switch accessory, and Ethernet cables/adapters.

I have a deal if I want, NIB 360/mega 10 for 2k, just not sure if the 10 is going to be big enough for the bow to run the 360.
