    Low Light Scope

I recently won a Ruger American 270 in a raffle. I'm gonna give it to my squaw but would like to outfit it with a decent light gathering scope. Our plots are surrounded by real thick woods and the edges get dark quick. Her longest shot will 100 yard. So what do y"all suggest for a light gathering scope in the 500 dollar range?

Bigger tube and bigger objective will gather more light. With Zeiss having done away with the Conquest models you could possible run across a new one for $500-600 bucks in the 3-12x56. I bought 4 new ones for $2000 several months back. They are the best i have ever looked thru and have had many that were well north of $1500 each. Just my 2 cents.

I have a VX3 on my 7MM, great scope. For extra light get the 50mm Objective.
