250 Pro XS not warming up

2011 Mercury Pro XS 250 1B841715. Motor went down (#6) Oct 2016, rebuilt and got back March 2017, with 50 hrs motor (#5) went down in July 2017, then rebuilt again. Since rebuilds, No matter the lake temp the motor will not exceed 91 degrees at idle and will not exceed 113 while running. 1-5 water pressure at idle and 20 -25 running WOT. I was recently in a new 250 pro xs and it went to 134 degrees at idle. Since rebuild it has not seen 115 degrees and only has maybe 20 hr on it currently. Any help appreciated.

I would check both t-stats to see if anything is in there. If not, check the poppet value and make sure it is moving properly. Mine was not and I replaced it and that fixed it.

Check for water coming out of the thermostat dump hoses.

The easiest way to check for a open tstat is to pull hose off cover use a piece of 5/8 hose and stick on cover and try to blow through it you should not be able to blow at all

Thermostats are cheap, If it was me I would replace em.

Or check that the stats are even there.

Buddy of mine had a factory reman power head, the mechanic cut the stats. Said, they run better cooler!
We immediately ordered and installed new stats.

If you're two powerheads deep now- a pair of new thermostats and gaskets would be a very wise investment.
