    Zodias Swimbait Rod

I have a Zodias 7’5” Extra heavy. How will this rod do with the s waver 168 and a Hudd 68?

I know traditionally a longer rod is more ideal. But would it work? Is it going to be to stiff?

Both baits you mentioned are known for catching big fish and are in the 2 ounce weight range. No where near enough rod for those baits in my opinion.

I think the rod is rated for 2 oz’s.

You already have the rod, do you already have the baits? Go out there and throw them and see what you think. It is rated to 2oz, yes, but that doesn't mean it's the best tool for the job, but it may get the job done well enough to suit your needs. Personally, I'd much rather have a Megabass 72H Hyuga for those exact baits, or even a Hammer 76 Extra Heavy Tackle Trap LTD model.
