I have a 2002 18 xl. My boat has held up extremely well original carpet and seats. The dash has wood grain finish and no fading. Dry storage and the only stress cracks I have are a couple in the splash well.
I have updated bilge pump added blue water lights, recessed tray and a hot foot.
My trailer has also held up extremely well.
    Updated lights to led
i have a 150 carb Yamaha on the back with 23 pitch prop. I have reached 60 but I don't push it hard. Boat jumps on plane.

You will not be disappointed. They are a blast to drive and pretty fast too.Dont let a few stress cracks scare you. Most of the older Javelins and Stratos had plenty of stress cracks but are still solid and did not leak.I am a big fan of the Yamaha 200 engine also.I would buy the boat in a heartbeat because if you don't your friend will have no problem at all selling it.Good luck to you
