The 2016 Yamaha SHO 225hp got its yearly service ($852) today…
217 engine hours since late Feb 2016 arrival new from the factory…
3+ more years of warranty…
new filters, water pump, anodes, oil, oil filter and so on…
list of inspections, removals and replacements.
(Seems high BUT its at least a $22,000 engine...peace of mind...aaahhh)

I did all but the water pump in mine for less then $200, and that's using synthetic oil.
Am in year 2 of 5 year warranty or I would do at least half the service...dealer has A+ rep so if I ever have a warranty claim...no problem...
for many years I had an 1984 115hp and did plugs/foot oil myself...those engines were bullet proof so even the water pump lasted and lasted.
