You might have to move the MK antenna It is a little close to the TM and it will interfere with the compass in the antenna. If it will not spot lock like it should and not follow the contours lines as close as it should..I mounted mind next the TM head, next to the support. I would post some pictures of the way I mounted mind but its 2.5 hrs away in west AL.If you have a hand held compass you can check for interference from the trolling motor

Thanks I plan on going to the lake tomorrow. Just to play around a little. I will check the spot lock and see if it will follow the contour line. That is if I can figure out how to work it.

I took it to the lake today. Spot lock did keep it right on spot. Got to figure out a few things so far it all works fine.

Thanks to kk4iz for the thought on the compass. I did move it before going to the lake . Thanks again kk4iz

Yes I think so. Yesterday I only had about 2 hours to play with it but I did get a few things worked out . Making it follow here to there with my helix. Spot lock was great . But that's about as far as I got . I think it will be a good investment this spring..
It was easy to hook everything up and it all worked the 1st time out lol.

I just wish it would get warm enough to play with it a little. I had 1 day for about 2 hours and that is it since I put it on in the first of Dec.

I am contemplating selling my Talon to negate the cost a tad, what are yall's thoughts on this? Will I regret not having the talon with the ultrex? I will say, some days I go without even lifting the tilt bracket on the talon up...

I prefer my talons when shallow, you can lock down and not disturb the area with the Ultrex kicking on and off. I use the spot lock for anything over 10'. I'd keep the talon if you can.

Well well well warm weather and warm water is here so it is time to go fish with my new ultrex. So Monday I fall off the back of my pontoon in my shop. Broke my left leg & torn my tendon from ankle to my knee. Surgery tomorrow no fishing for 6-8 weeks.
