Recess install for 2004 275 Pro XL

Hey guys. My fishing partner has a 2004 275 Pro XL and he wants to install a flat foot recess pan. Can this be done and has anybody done so. I felt under the front of the deck and it feels like there's a brace under were the pan would go.

I have the same boat and was waiting for someone to try it first. It does have some sort of brace under the deck.

I wish some one would hurry up and try this and let us know if it can be done.

Call Stratos or email them, I did on my 2002 XL Magnum to see if there was anything in the way. They answered very quickly and gave me alot of advise on the install.

It does have a peace of fiberglass hanging down from the deck and then connects to the two inside walls from the rod lockers. However, it doesn't touch the hull or the sides of the boat.

I did talk to a guy that used to work at Stratos that said "its not a problem, people do it all the time". Meaning, cutting a notch out of the piece of fiberglass hanging down to accommodate the tray.

Still cant pull the trigger and cut it!

I just did my 2004 195 ProXL. I don't think you will have any problem. If you think there is a bulkhead in the way then work with that. On my boat I have two front compartments so not a lot of space to work with. I figured where the front wall (bulkhead) of the front compartment was located and measured from there. There was a forward brace that I cut through. I added support to that brace and installed the pan. I has worked fine since installed.
