    Motor bouncing when trimming down

    When I trim down my 2006 hpdi it well get just about down to the dual pistons and the motor starts bouncing. Anyone else ever dealt with this.

    Lube the trim rod ends. I had the same issue once.

    Yep, dab of grease on the trim rod ends monthly.

    Look at your bushings on the rod that’s above the trim assembly (not sure of proper name). They are probably worn out.

    Yes, to both.. grease tips as well as check out bushings/seals. Also with your motor trimmed down partially (off the water) and pull on the motor and see how much play you have. My 2006 HPDI 250 was bouncing around like that. I ended up having my trip tabs/seals as well as all the bushings replaced (think there's like 9-12 of them total). It tightened up my motor after that job was done and took out almost all of the play I had. Just something to check out... Good luck ~
