Keep in mind, you get what you pay for, and people go into business to make money. Quality takes time. Time is money. The boat I recently ordered is way more than most boats on the market, but the custom work and materials that go into it drive the price. It's going to be very hard to find the quality everyone is requesting, for the price being requested. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, so please don't take it that way. If you find a boat in the "cheaper" price range, shortcuts were taken either in materials or labor, or both.

That's the catch; a company has to make boats for people that actually buy boats, rather than for people that don't buy boats because they're too expensive.

While some of what you say may be true you also have to take into consideration buying power in regards to the makeup of the boat. If you build custom boats and only build a couple hundred or less a year your buying power is not the same as someone who builds a thousand boats a year so in essence on some things in your boat you might be paying twice as much as my boat for the same item.

19 foot boat with full deck forward of the console.
    rated for 200HP
    Dual or split livewell
    standard nav lights
    Great quality carpet.
    Carpet in lockers
    Passenger rodramp
    Option for dual console
Wired for 36VOLT TM (option to choose with $1,250 credit)
    4 bank charger
Rigged for your engine choice ($18,000 credit for engine and rigging) If you want a G2 HO any cost above 18K is add to the price.
C channel Dual axel trailer with surge brakes
All graphs available at extra cost
shallow water anchors available at extra cost.

Total cost (Not including options) $45,000.

Put that out there and there I know 4 people that would jump all over that. Letting people choose make their own decisions in how they build their boat will sell boats.

Falcon is a southern boat for now. The 195 would be interesting but 12 hours to the nearest dealer. In my want post I didn't mention table stakes.

    things like:

    Reasonable dealer network
    Great One on One service/support
    NO WOOD
    Great fit and finish
the ability to build your own

We have a saying in my business:

You can have it done fast
You can have it done well
    You can have it cheap

    You can pick 2....

I would rather see a build to order boat that takes 60 days to deliver than get have to buy what someone else thinks I need.

I want to see something different, different construction materials, and methods that will help keep costs down and drive the industry in a different direction. A fast, good handling, and excellent riding boat.

Naw, you can pick all 3 but you have the skill to drive it.

I predict they will build 20 and 21ft boats first then as the money starts flowing they will begin to offer smaller models. Thats how most new companies with premium boats have done it in the past. Get their brand out there on the pro circuit with the bigger boats first and the market for the smaller boat develops because as has been said, the working man typically cant or doesnt want to buy a 70k rig.

I love the 3 series of Rangers, Id bet there would be a market for those boats still today. When one hits the dealerships locally it typically sells fast because they are still very popular hulls.
