Gotta love MN weather

Got the boat out and headed down to Pepin yesterday. Didn't catch squat but sure enjoyed a mild December day on open water. Water temp was a cool 37. Marked a lot of fish and bait but I think they were in a stupor.

Felt kind of strange driving home last night past all the houses with Christmas lights on.

Absolutely, Jared. Between 3 weekends in deer camp and the cold weather we had starting it late Oct, I hadn't been out since Oct 22. I like to go into winter strong and not in an already weakened state.

Any good fall fishin' for you this year?

2 days and that was it! My time was very limited though this year due to mechanical issues. Once the cold snap came in end of Oct I just started hunting. It helped me not lose sleep over the boat being in the shop and wondering what I was missing.
