Nice! What was the length on that one? I caught a couple in a span of about 10 minutes on Fork that were 17 - 17 1/2 inches long but didn't have a scale to weigh them. I figured they were about 2.5 lbs, but don't know for sure.

Y'all be careful out there and don't catch'em all!

What bait?

There are times i will fish up to a 1/4 oz jig an 3 to 3 1/2 inch baits, you will be surprised at what size crappie will slam these size baits. We have a lot of shad so i try to match the size of bait the fish are feeding on. If it's windy and Kansas usually is, you need weight to get the bait down vertical.
I fish a 1/8oz. all the time vertical fishing, since I'm targeting fish at a prescribed depth.
If I fish tandem jigs, I use a 1/8oz. on bottom and a 1/16oz. on top
I will fish a 1/16oz. if I'm dock shooting or swimming a jig. I will fish a 1/4oz. in windy conditions.

I fish 1/8 oz in the spring , 1/16 this time of year and a 1/32 when the water get in the low 30 degrees
Nice haul
