    Guntersville in late Dec

    Hey looking for some help as to what to do in late December on Guntersville. Looking at a short 2-3 day trip with friends who haven't ever been on the lake and would like to catch some fish for a good time. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Water temp was still in the 54-56 degree range yesterday but I imagine it will drop a fair amount with the cold weather we're about to have so fish accordingly BUT I can tell you a Senko or Yum Dinger on a Texas rig and slow rolling a deep crankbait have worked well for me on Guntersville in the winter.

    Jerkbait and trap always work in cold water there. Let us know how you do. Good luck and wear a floatation device
