    are there any lithium cranking batteries that meet the mercury specs for a 250 pro xs

    Most of the major brands will have something suitable.


    Dual Mercury Master Technician- for Mercury Outboards, Mercruiser and Mercury Racing at European Marine in Greenville, SC.

    Never understood why my outboard (250XS and 300XS) require more than twice the cranking amps than my 5.0 V8 Ford truck motor.

    Because you don't leave the truck headlights (aerator pumps and electronics) ON for 6 hrs, then try to start the truck.

    The compressor adds a lot of load on the cranking battery as well as running all the electronics as savage stated above.

    +1... and add to that, your truck probably doesn't have two electric fuel pumps, TWELVE electronic injectors, and likely only reaches a compression stroke every SECOND revolution of the flywheel.
