2015 Z-7 HDS 12 Gen 3 - A Few Questions

I plan to add an HDS 12 Gen 3 to my 2015 Z-7. I currently have an HDS 7 Gen 2 Touch in the console. I am looking for some recommendations:

1) Would it be better to move the 7 inch screen to the trolling motor and install the 12 inch in the console?

2) Would the 12 inch screen flush mount in the dash?

3) Is structure scan worth the extra cost?

2. No. look at a precision sonar mount, will cover the hole and allow u to mount the 12.

Thanks. Additionally, are the Gen 2 and Gen 3 compatible, and would I be able to run both through a single structure scan box?

Good question. I cannot say for sure.

You only need Lss 2 transducer. You don't need a (box). You can use 1 Lss 2 and see with both via Ethernet or each have its own.
