USA SEEKING: An ANTIQUE SUPER SKEETER

    New Friends,

I'm brand new here & found this site by purest accident, while looking for an "old school" SUPER SKEETER to restore.
(I'm originally from Northeast TX, where the SUPER SKEETER was "THE BASSBOAT" for the years of my misspent youth in the mid '50s-late '60s.)

I am NOT looking for a restored and/or much-modified Skeeter, as I plan to restore it to the way that the boats looked when new.
The Super Skeeter that I'm seeking is likely sitting out in a back pasture or behind a house, looking generally "tired, neglected & unloved". - A suitable, period, trailer would be NICE too but is NOT required.
Otoh, I'm NOT interested in a wrecked boat that was torn-up by a collision and/or that has been damaged by fire.
( I also collect BigTwin OMC outboards & have any number of suitable candidates to power a Super Skeeter.)

I would prefer that the Skeeter have a TX title but this is not "a deal killer", if the rest of the boat is OK.

    THANKS for reading this comment.

    To All,

IF I remember correctly, our family's Skeeter was a 1963 or 64 model.

Have seen a few pop up on CL. My dad had, I think, a magnum with a 50hp Johnson and stick steer.

Have you tried using a site that lets you look at multiple cities on craigslist at a time. Such as Searchtempest, thats how I found my boat. Good luck with the search.
