Thanksgiving weekend Fri - Sun, water temp 58-60 mid lake, wouldn't expect much change with this weeks forecast. Fishing was fair, caught 27 mostly on Jigs/swing jigs. Did catch a couple on tailspinners and A-rig. Water needs to cool off a few more degrees.

Think the sun played into it at all? I do not do that well if it’s bright. Planning on going next week sometime. I usually launch out of Holly Creek. I’ve got a bunch of jigs made up.

I do think the bright Sun had something to do with it. I like it cloudy. It was cloudy and windy early Saturday and the that was the best bite of the weekend even though. I sucked it up, broke off the first bite on the hookset, missed the next 2, lost the 4th halfway to the boat, partner lost 1 also. Finally got the 6th fish in the boat. Then the Sun came out and it sucked until after lunch.

Went fri-sun. Had 3 boat buddy trip and the only one that had experience down there caught fish. Pumpkin jig dragging as slow as you can and a few on jerkbait just before dark. We had mostly blue skies and no wind. Saw water from 57-61 degrees

I had planned on Thursday but the weather will have tanked. Bad enough fishing with sun there but think this cold front will clam them up for few days. Perfect day for me is cloudy, in the 50s and 10mph wind.

I bet it gets them going. I'd be going for sure this weekend if I didn't already have plans.

Going to try to head down after work. And fishing Saturday not been down sense the spring so looking forward to getting back on dale as it is my favorite lake in the winter and spring. For the guys catching some on jerk baits. What color has been working? Is there any fish back in the creeks still? What sections of the lake has turned?

I'm going to try and go Saturday. If not, I've got Wed-Fri off next week and I'll be there for 1 or all of those days for sure.

Boy sure seems like that would have been the river, not the lake.

That or way way up the obey. If I was going to guess I'd say its around 53-55 on the main lake and a little turnover starting in places.
