I went Monday all day. Water temp was 42-43 every where I went mid lake. Super windy. Very slow fishing.

I have better luck on a tailspiner or silver buddy when the water temp gets this low. The water should get colder this weekend when the snow starts melting and running in.

Those run ins can get good when the snow melts.

Saturday is looking like a good day for the fly. Clouds and little wind.

With Dale Hollow Marina and Holly Creek both froze up I’m gonna pass this weekend. Don’t feel like the extra drive to Willow Grove or the State Park.

It wasn't great but it was great to be outside and not freezing. Caught 5 slots 1 on the fly and 4 on a blade once the sun came out it was over for me. My buddy didn't catch anything until he went out after I left. He caught 2 on a blade. Weird bite too, had to get it snagged then shake it free and they would eat it. All 4 came that way. Nothing on a jig or a-rig. Water temp was 41-44 from the dam to sulphur. No signs of a shad kill either...

I still prefer cloud but you can catch them in the sun too. Yesterday I couldn't get them to do anything after the sun came out. I thought the jig bite would get better when the sun came but nothing.

I fished the heartland angler Saturday had 13 pound finished just out of the money. Had 4 smallmouth on a single swimbait that day caught 14 fish total but the rest were green. I know that’s what most of you fish for when you come here.

I would go Saturday but it doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate. Cold and wet, makes for a long day.
