Mercury 115hp XS Oil filter/Service

Ive got a 2016 Merc 115hp XS 4 stroke that Im going to do the service to myself this year. Serial #2B384054. I popped of the hood and the oil filter that the dealer installed at my 20 hr service is a Quicksilver 35-8M00651. Im not sure if its cheaper to buy the oil service "kit" or by the components separately. The kits I found for this motor all come with a Mercury oil filter, not a Quicksilver. The oil filter number for the Mercury oil filter that come with the kit is 35-8M0065104. Are this 2 filters the same? If I do by the kit, it looks like Im going to have to buy a extra quart of oil because the kit comes with 5 quarts and this motor takes 5.2 quarts. I just want to make sure I get the right filter as there are alot of misleading info on some websites.

Exact same filter. 5 quarts should do it, as you want the oil level in the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the hash marks.

Oil level at 1/4-1/3 (max), engine warm, checked per procedure in the owner's manual.

The kit is the easiest method of purchase. Numbers printed on filters or parts are not the PART NUMBER (they are internal stock numbers for Mercury). Just happens to "resemble" the part number (this time).
