    Triton options You love

Hey guys - I'll be purchasing a 189 TRX with a G2 soon, and wanted to get the forums thoughts on what options you guys love. There are tons of options, and I'd love to hear what you guys can't live without.

    Thanks!

Yea, that was number one on my list. Haven’t used one yet, but I’ve heard amazing things. That spot lock sounds like something I’ll love.

    I really like these options.

    Special color selection.
    Carpet pad.
Fulton F2 jack and F2 winch.
Trailer load guides- great when windy.
Pneumatic lid pistons. Minimizes chance of a lid falling and breaking rod.
Mercury smart gauge. No standard water gage.
    Center seat option.
    Cover and motor cover.

I have no personal experience with the Ultrex other than hearing people talk at ramps on how them love them or how problems cost them fishing time. Buy your own trailer transom tiedowns and transom saver.

How's Milford? I used to work for a company headquartered in Milford (Milford Rivet & Machine).

Interesting about the Ultrex. I heard there were issues early on, but Minn Kota corrected them, for the most part.

The Fulton F2 jack and winch is something I’m strongly considering adding right now, given how much I tow the boat.

I have an 18 TRX which is pretty much the same as the 189 TRX. Mine has a 200 which is the main reason I bought it. The extra 50 HP is a great option IMO. Also if you trailer very far might consider a duel axle trailer

Get the winch and jack. Much easier to roll boat around. Mid cleats are awesome. Tourney live well if you fish tourneys.

what is it that makes it so great in your opinion? I haven’t used it, but I think the spot lock alone would make it worth it. Love to hear your thoughts?

    - Tournament Fishing Package
    - Onboard charger that will cover all your batteries (Trolling and cranking)
    - I'd upgrade to AGM for all batteries
    - Go with largest and latest Sonar/GPS at bow and console you can afford. Loaded out with latest options like 3D structure scan.
    - MK Fortrex 80 or Ultrex 80
    - Keelshield
    - Tournament Series Gauge package
    - Hot Foot
    - Hydraulic Jackplate
    - Motor and Jackplate blinker style trim levers on wheel.
    - Trailer - Ratchet Tie Downs and Oversized Bow Trailer Step.

For the Mercury Engines there's options for a Smartcraft Gauge or Info Center Gauge. I think either is very beneficial. I don't know if the Evinrude G2 offers optional gauges, but I'd look into it.

In my opinion the way Ideeper watershed spot lock is way more useful than talons and I have them on my rig. If your crank or throwing moving baits set the direct set these end and fish or follow a contour.

I agree with Randy on this one. I installed the console and bow mount on my 21 TRX for my HDS 12's. One of the best things I ever did.
