Merc 175 ProXs sitting for long periods

For the past year I have not been able to fish as often.
My schedule at work allows me to fish maybe 3-4 times every 6-8 weeks. I am gone 6 weeks and home 3 weeks.
This is putting long gaps between the motor being run.
Its a 2011 model with less than a 100 hrs.
Will this hurt my motor? Cylinders getting moisture in them? Corrosion?
I'm in Louisiana, so freezing temps is not an issue.
My wife could put the ears on it and let it idle for a bit while I'm gone, but worried she may not get the water flowing correctly.

Just have stabilizer in it each time you fill up and it'll be fine.

Cajun I have a similar use pattern to yours. I use the "cocktail" every time I refuel (using Quickstor instead of Quickleen) and it works for me.
