    20XD setup questions

My etec 250 ho just blew up and I'm going to swap over to a freshened up 2012 250 proxs on my 2000 20 XD. I was running a 28 Bravo 1 on the etec and would like to run it on the proxs. I have a choice between a torque master lu and a fleetmaster with a bobs low water on it. Which should I choose and why?

As stated above you really need a Sport but between the 2...I would get the one with the low water pick up and nose cone. You need to get it above the pad to make that hull work correctly. You can fish with a TM lower but you will not have the performance the boat was meant to have.

Needs a sporty I ran a coned case on my 20xd 250 x's and it felt like the boat was on marbles. At 80. Boat would not take a set at all put the sporty back on and back to 90+

Is the fleetmaster what some people call the standard or are they different?

I run a 20XD with a 250XS. Listen to these people. You NEED a Sportmaster if you want the performance and handling a 20XD is capable of. A coned unit just wont do it. Been there, done that, got the T shirt.

I ran a sporty on a 21 XDC to run faster, it worked great, it can handle the speed MUCH better, it's designed for speed

A properly coned lower will work fine. I ran a coned tourque master in the 94+ range without any problems but I'm sure a sport will perform as stated above. I just can't get mine to.
