    Question Texas Huntng Ranches

Was thinking about taking my dad to hunt in Texas next year. (Modern gun) Do any of y'all have experience with any certain ranch, good or bad? We've never hunt whitetail out of the state of AR and want to see something different. Thanks

Roosterman, are you looking for a high fence ranch or free range? Interested in Whitetail only, or exotics? Lots of ranches around for all the options mentioned.

No exotics. Probably free range. 3-5 days not interested in killing does. We harvest enough meat here in AR. Want to see a lot of 120+" bucks. Doesn't have to have fancy accommodations. Thanks

Look at Texas Hunting Forum and go to outfitter section.

If Stompy doesn't chime in you might shoot him a PM. I don't think he does deer hunts but he could probably point you in the right direction.

Even a Texas cull buck is a trophy to most but even those prices can be out of bounds.

It's can get stupid here, I'm a ranch owner and I hunt my deer but I go to Kansas every year and by far is the best trip I've done. Buddy of mine is an farmer and outfitter and has some really good land.

Not sure how much you're wanting to spend on a hunt, but if I was looking for a guided, free range hunt, I'd go to northern Oklahoma or Kansas. You'll see a lot of bucks and have a chance at a big one.
