    Lure retrievers?

What is everyone using to get there cranks and other valuable plugs unhung? Wondering if there's any good "homeade" options out there?

lots of good home-made options. Get yourself a 2-3 ounce weight. Either a bell weight or a triangular weight or even one of the ones that looks like a disc. Put it on a swivel that the end opens. Clasp it to the line and drop it straight down on your crankbait.

You can make a dozen of them for around $10.

I have a 16' extendable pole from BPS that has already more than paid for itself. Also keep a few plug knockers in my pocket.

Bought one of these spiral fishing pole holders for under $3.00 at wally world. Cut the end of the spiral off to open it up a bit, attached it to a two stage telescoping aluminum pole as shown, secured it with a hose clamp. It's got me baits back from under water and up in trees.

Fritts lure retriever tied on the end of a anchor rein i mounted on front of the boat for those baits down deep. Being self retractable makes it super easy and quick. Keep a BPS lure retriever pole on the boat at all times for the trees and bushes. Unreal how many baits you can get with the BPS pole.

A pocket rock first. And, if that doesn't work, then this^^^.

I have tried a few from tacklewarehouse and a few bought here on BBC and to me nothing beats the Frabill 15 Telescoping pole lure retriever.

Tried them all and by far the best I found is this one that I got at the classic and is on landbigfish website for $20. It is called Tipton’s golden retriever. Used to be a guy on here that made a popular one called mag 45 or something like that. He had a fire I believe and was supposed to start making them again but don’t think he did

I have heard of people using old spark plugs as a knocker don't know if they work or not.
