SI comparison shots? Helix 12 non mega VS mega?

Anyone have screenshots of a certain piece of cover/structure to compare? I'd love to see the difference of mega VS non mega of the same object.

Thanks Wayne. Definitely way more detail on the mega. Exactly what I wanted to see. I'll save a little more money for a mega :)

Hey Wayne looks like you may have been on our lake down south, I have some pics that look almost identical to those, I will post them for you to see, the company that built a new bridge across clarks hill lake dropped some of the concrete pilings on a couple of points that look almost like your pics

That is a natural rock formation in a lake in Virginia.

I have another comparison image taken almost at the same time with the SOLIX and ONIX along a line of timber with a school of crappie. I had the ONIX 2D turned off so I would not get cross-talk.

    Comparing 455 and 1200?
Think pics of 800 vs 1200 would be better.
1200 is super nice to look at but not sure it will help catch more fish.

Same group of relocated stumps with CHIRP 455 kHz, CHIRP 800 kHz, and CHIRP 1200 kHz

Does Chirp in 455kHz and 800kHz make a difference over no chirp 455kHz and 800kHz? It seems I've read on this forum where people are turning chirp off to get better imaging.

I included a single frequency screen shot yesterday when I was doing the CHIRP comparison--SOLIX 12 SI

Took another screen shot with the ONIX:

What does mega do in sub 10'? Sub 8' even? Shallow flats are a big part of my fishing.

Has less coverage than 455 kHz. That is why I did the three screen shots in post #11.

I noticed you kept getting deeper with every pass and that left and right. At 11'4" depth is 25-26' the coverage? Gets pretty dark on the shallow side.

It was just the angle of approach and when I took the screen shot.

Nothing to really see here but a few stumps and a few fish, but I was on a shallow flat. Works great.

While I love the clarity, I'm not sure I'm willing to give up the range/ brightness of 455. I just do not think that where I'm currently at in interpreting what my Onix and Helix 12 gen 1 that I personally would gain much . At least until one of them dies. .$02
