I just got our Academy sale bill in the Sunday paper, They have the 40" Masterbuilt electric smoker on sale for 169.99, regular price is 299.99. It has the RF remote and built in temp probe. Sale dates are 11/19 thru 11/25. If you're looking for one I have not seen any better price on these.

Thanks for this heads-up! I went last night and got the last one on the shelf. Time to retire my old Brinkmann. Cooking temp is entirely too dependent on the outside ambient temp.

You're welcome, I have a 30" and have set up in my garage that way I don't have to worry about the weather, just open the door and fire it up.

Went yesterday and bought one, its been that price all week and been debating one getting it.

Used mine the other day to do a reverse sear on a piece of London broil, came out delicious. Smoked it for about 45 mins with apple chips and hit it on the grill for a nice sear, dang tasty.
