8800 lb tow capacity and wow

How many of you know about this new SRT Durango ?

    https://www.dodge.com/durango/srt.html

I have driven this twice now. Amazing SUV and I have a Ford SVT Raptor. Not apples to Apples by any means but the SRT Durango has more HP, more Torque, and more towing capacity than my 6.2 L Raptor

There have been a few posts about it.............................kinda pricey too @ 63,800 or so

I priced one the way I would want it, and it was ~ 73k......for that much, I'll use the truck for towing and get a hellcat.

It barely beats it and a drag race isn’t the raptor’s game but it is the durango’s game. Raptor is sitting on almost 35’s and an all terrain where the Durango is sitting on Pirelli Pzero’s I think. Not too bad on the raptors part. Guy at the dealership thought a Durango SRT would whoop my 15 Mustang Gt...lol. Nice vehicle for sure but not at that price

If you hooked up the average 8800 lb trailer load to this dodge the bumper would be dragging the ground . Fun ride but not for towing .

Thanks for the feed back guys. I've always liked Dodge's attitude and have had great luck with several Durango's in the past. I tow a Bass Boat not an 8800 lb load and I don't do off roading. As I said, it's not an Apples to Apples comparison but it's a heck of a compromise between Go fast and tow do you not think?

Yeah, and I've had GMC, Ford, and Jeep too and I don't give a crap about brand BS in boats, cars or anything else. We're all lucky to have what ever we have and all brands have good vehicles with in the brand

Just 12,000? You need to trade it for a real truck.

So my buddy, who's a detailer, had an srt durango in the shop today. I stopped by because I think they are pretty sweet looking. Apparently they are built pretty cheaply, which I couldn't believe until I saw it. There were several areas on the paint job they had messed up. A piece of hair which showed up as lines on rear quarter panel. Piece of dirt in the clear coat. The front emblem on grill was loose and about to fall off. I was really disappointed. Thought dodge would at least make this vehicle top notch in all respects. I guess not. This was brand new from dealership.
