    Hitch ball loading device

I have two vans. I can leave the back hatch open. One van has a backup camera. One doesn't. This dumb device (tennis ball, orange-painted stick, and a couple of nuts or washer and lots of hot-melt glue,) works very well.

Some days I think it is better than the camera, especially if the sun is out and the boat is in the dark storage barn.

Thanks, it always amazes me how a suggestion or tip can be posted, and then "found" months later.

    That's a great DIY setup.

For those less inclined, they make magnetic ones. I got a set during the Boat Expo. Magnetic Hitchin' Rods. Work really well, come as a set. Back up until they touch. The one on the truck should tip over and you know your spot on.

When done I would stick them to the garage door track for safe storage.

Not affiliated just a happy customer.

I've got the same thing; worked great, don't use it now due to having a back-up camera on my truck.

I have a back up camera. Just the other day, I used the tennis ball instead. I can get it lined up better with the tennis ball! Strange, but true.
