    prop to pad

hello guys, the boat:1997 stratos 219F 19',3 " 91 wide 175 hp intruder with 21-4blade trophy+ 3/4 load 54mph gps at 5800 and it gets to plane good, .questions about pad to prop shaft distance:the pad is like a V so bottom of V(lowest part) ? and it mesures 5 inch and only one hole left so that would be 4 1/4 is that going to make a difference ? and any negatives to get it higher ? and since the 5800 rpm would higher motor use another pitch prop like 23 ? thanks

Put a jack plate on it and you should be able to spin a 23P real good. Should see 60 out of that boat when set up right.

i might get a plate later ,but just installed new helm+cables and not shure if 6"would fit maybe just 4" but if i get one its mostly for shallow water operation ,speed is just a bonus .

"Typically" if you have cable steering and add a 6" jackplate you're okay. However if you add a 8" plate your cables will be short.
