Nope and it’s not the batteries problem.

The max current draw of an ultrex 80lb thrust is 56 amps. The 24v 50ah battle born continuous current is 60 amps. It can run an ultrex 80.. For how long? That depends on the conditions you are in.

here is the battery I've been running now for 5 years. It is more than adequate and I have no idea how long it will last because I've never reached its limit. The first 4 years with a MG tour 82 LB and the last year with an Ultrex 80 LB. Compare the specs of yours to this one

You're running just a single one of those or two? I was considering that route myself, but I don't know if the onboard charging system of my outboard (a 1999 carbureted model) will charge it on the run. I'd like to run just one ideally, but I'll run 2 if I have to.

I have a 24V MG 82# on my boat & I've thought about trying 1 of the battle born 50Ah 24v lithium batteries in the spring.

But I fish current a lot so i don't know how long it will hold up. I know 2 of the 100Ah 12V in series would last longer but it's also double the $$.

I've fished days with 3 12v 100ah.. I fish a river system all year, and a hot water discharge in the fall. Wish I had a little more personal experience with the 50ah batteries but when I purchased my batteries they had not been released yet.
