All composite hull. I like my 20DC but the front deck is small for a 20' boat. That said getting in and out of the cockpit is nice and roomy. I suppose the 18 is of similar design. I heard thats a rocket too for a 17'8'' boat with a 150

I have the 19DC and really like it. Just wish the front deck was a tad bigger. Mine has a Johnson 150 wih a 6" plate and have seen 65 mph with the right conditions. Can regularly run 62. With 3 people (roughly 525 lbs), full livewell, full fuel tank, ran 58-59.

All composite but that don't mean something can't be broke. Have it looked over real well by someone that knows boats. Look on the inside of the transom were the flat part meets the flotation boxes for vertical cracks in the corner. It will probably have plenty of Gelcoat cracks but thats pretty normal.

Have a mechanic check out that motor (compression, leaky carb bowls etc.)
Just can't leave well enough alone!!

its a dealer down in Missouri that has it, its got a Johnson 150 on it, (carbs). they did say compression is good on all cyl

When I ordered my 2000 Renegade I had to make that decision, which motor. The Ficht was 2K more than the Johnson but I wanted the latest and greatest. Claims were they figured out the problems with the earlier motors so I got the Ficht. I could have bought a lot of fuel for that 2K though and I think if I had got the Johnson I'd still be running it. The repairs and extra cost of the Ficht in hind sight tells me it just wasn't worth it.
