    J.Percy Priest Lake

looking for any info I am going to be working up in Murfreesboro for a few months. I am wondering if its worth bringing my boat up. I am not looking for your sweet spot just general knowledge of the lake.

Great lake especially in the winter. But whatever you do, be careful running lots of rock plies out there. I definitely would bring my boat.

Head over to Center Hill from Murfreesboro if you get time. I much prefer Center Hill over Priest. Should be a pretty good time for some smallmouth. I almost pulled my boat up there last week but flew in instead to visit family.

It depends on the months you will be there. In addition to Percy Priest, you have Old Hickory and Normandy a short distance away. On some long weekends, Dale Hollow, Tims Ford, and the Tennessee River from KY Lake to Chickamauga within 2 hours' drive.
