I received the large size A-Maze-N smoker maze as a gift this summer. I like it but I only use it for cold smoking in a Big Chief smoker without the unit being plugged in. I have only used pellets but I believe the maze type can also use small chips and sawdust. I have been told by other users that the units are really excellent for cold smoking cheese, which I have not tried. So far, I have smoked a couple of slabs of regular bacon, pastrami. Canadian bacon and turkey breasts and legs. All turned out very well. Items like the pastrami, Canadian bacon and turkey parts that need hot smoking, I just cold smoke first and then finish them off in the Weber grill or the oven. http://www.amazenproducts.com/
