I see 62 with a 175, 58-60 should be doable with a 150. 187 is a great hull tho, even if I had a 150 I'd be happy in it. I only run 40-45 most days anyway. Don't wanna miss the scenery.

My 2004 187 w/150 opti only got about 55-59mph gps. Tried a few different props and adjustments and couldn't get more out of it. IMO the 2004 187 seemed like a way heavier boat than my 2000 187 I owned after the 2004. Maybe it was just in my head though.

The rig you ask about should do 59-61 when set up right. I had the exact rig and a 10" slidemaster with a 23 Tempest prop. The prop was worked by Croxton and really made all the difference in the world. This was 5800 rpm with a full load of tourney gear and fuel by myself.

Tthe TN 187s had a different stringer system that was heavier. I don't know by how much though.

Just curious, but is this your boat, or are you asking for a friend? I sold the exact same set up to a guy in Michigan over the summer. White with blue trim. Struggled myself to get much over 55, but I could do figure 8s around bridges full throttle.

Guys last name Morrow? I tried everything to get more speed, but could never get above 56 with 2 guys. Alone, 58-60.

That's the way my 187 was. No need to drive, just point and ride. Sent my prop to Croxton and wow is all I can say . Brought my gps up to 60 -61 and required to drive now. I miss that boat.
