Does any one knows the correct size nuts on the lower unit for this motor .
Or they standard or Metric .....want to order a torque adapter wrench for it to change the water pump .

I think they are 5/8" but am not certain. Crow's foot is the thing you are looking for, just be sure you have it at a right angle to the torque wrench so you don't make the wrench longer and make the torque setting inaccurate. Could be a metric size, but if so it would be 16mm, again IIRC. Which usually nobody has since 5/8" is the same size.

Thx....was going to search the web for a nice used one or new less $$ torque adapter wrench .
The nuts are 7/16ths fine thread stainless lock nuts. It takes a 5/8ths wrench or socket to tighten/remove them.

Thx every one for the help . You have to use a open end wrench for the 2 bolt's between the cavitation plate and the rest you can just use a socket and torque wrench .
The 2.5 is difference than the 3 Liter engines as the 4 studs go thru the gear housing .
