Do you get lost while moving a boat with a trolling motor?

A 9 or 10 is all that is needed for the average person with close to decent eyesight. Maybe a 12 with 360.

I am running 4-HDS 9 Touches on my Crappie boat. Console one is for map, 2D and down scan and the other unit is for side scan.
On the bow the top unit is for map and 2D. Bottom unit is for down scan only. The bow units are mounted on a over-under mount by Percision Sonar. The console unit is on their smart bracket. If I had the money the console units would be 12s

To me it would be based on personal preference and how wide your bow area is.

A single 12 on the front and a single 12 on the console is plenty plenty enough for me. I try not to rely on my graphs as much as sometimes I feel it hurts the fishing. However that is for my style of fishing and I don't fish alot of ledges and such. I could see 2 units at the console if they were both smaller units but I can't see why some people run 3 or 4 12in units. Again if I did that style of fishing I might could see it

I mostly Fish deep offshore structure. I don’t have them, but the more information you can see the better. Maps, down scan, side scan, 2d. I’d run it all at the same time if I had the capabilities. The more you can see offshore the better you are. That’s a fact. Plus not to mention the bigger the units the easier is it to see all this stuff.

But in the end it’s about money.. if you got it then by all means get em.

Really depends on what you want to do. If you can put up the money $ they can work great when mounted properly. Typically sonar is all you need but it would be nice to also watch the side scan and down in the back of the boat.

It's a bit overkill but if you have the money hell why not? If I had the money I would do two16s on the bow! LOL

Well thats good then, because it shows quite well that a person with multiple graphs still can’t catch fish.
