2007 175 hpdi oil warning

Filled the tank this morning and now the warning light and horn comes on while trying to get on step. No issues at idle. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had a similar problem a couple years ago. Here's a suggestion.
Remove the cowling and look at the main oil tank. Is the level up where it should be? If not, turn the key to the ON position. Flip the toggle switch and listen for a hum in the bilge and watch the main tank to see if the level is rising.
If no hum or oil movement, check these three things.
Wire harness connections at the main and remote tank.
Oil filter on the remote tank.
Oil pump on the remote tank.

If there is oil movement when toggled, then the main sensor might be bad or need cleaned.

My problem was the pump. I had to replace it.
