    8 ft or 10ft Talon

Hey guys I have a 2015 G3 Eagle Talon 17 DLX. I want to fit a 10' talon to the boat. I have heard that the heavier / longer 10' Talon will do a lot more shaking around during rough water runs (than say the lighter / shorter 8' Talon) and that the 10's mounting bolts become loose as a result. I am now thinking about going with an 8 ft Talon instead to avoid this.

Has anybody had the problem of mounting bolts coming loose on their 10' Talons due to rough water runs ?

I will be mounting my Talon using the Minn Kota universal mounting bracket. I will also fit a MK tilt bracket to the Talon. Eventually I want to run two Talons.

I've had my 10' Talon for a year and a half. Mounted it myself. No issues at all.

More wiggle than a 8' but not a lot, I ran a 12' on my warrior walleye boat till I sold it and my buddy ran it on his skeeter, they are all stiff, hardly move and it's always windy in North Dakota
