    New 4 stroke maiden run

Re-powered my 97 Ranger R82 with a Merc. 150 4 stroke and took it to Texoma to break it in yesterday. Wow! Wish i had done that instead of rebuilding the 150 efi that blew again. I understand most anything new is nice but this is way beyond my expectation. Thanks Don weed for steering me in this direction. And I even caught a few stripers after I got it broken in! Now to figure out what to do about gauges?

I made the 4 stroke plunge last year and haven't looked back.

It's a great engine. I had 4 trouble free seasons with mine.

I have the same boat it has been 2 seasons now and could not be happier. Below is a link to some performance numbers with a few props I’ve tried.

    Congrats, Scott
