let me wake up the board with an eagle

took advantage of the 60 degree, sunny, light wind day. 320 yard par 4. 2nd shot was 85 yards to the pin. Gap wedge distance for me. Ball mark was 2 feet in front of flag. Hadn't had one of these in a couple of years.

Well done!! I think my clubs are done for the year. I may hit the range a few times but that will be about it. It's getting cold here.

Well Done I actually got my 1st eagle, ever, last thursday. Howling Trails, Penitas, Tx., 487 yard par 5. 2nd shot was a monster 5 iron that rolled up 10 ft from the hole. Sank the putt. I'm 58, retired, took up golf again 20 months ago. Played some when i was teenager.

    Good job guys.
Had an eagle on a par 4 about 15 years ago. It wasn't very pretty. I topped a crushing drive 170 yards out(killed a few worms) then hit a 7 iron 150 yards to the green. Never saw it go in from my angle and the green is also slightly elevated. We were looking for my ball and I walked by the hole (like everyone of us do when we can't find our ball around the green) and there it was. It was a tourney so it was good for a $50 skat.

I've had 10-11, half of which have come from hole-ins from 120-170 yards out. Only 1 hole in one however.

Got my second eagle yesterday! Par 4 340 yard on the back nine. Was 126 yards out and hit a iron right at the flag. Thought it had to be pretty close. Elevated green and can only see top half of the flag. so I get up there and don’t see the ball and assume it went off the back of green. After a brief search, looked in the hole and there it was. First eagle was 10 years ago, chipped in from off the green on a par 5. Never had a hole in one though, hopefully someday.

All mine are par 5s. I play a Monday night league on a easy course from white tees. 2 of the 3 par 5s are very reachable. Big drive on #2 and then a 7 or 8 iron into the green.
