Weird Exhaust sound on Vmax2

My 09 HPDI Series 2 replaced last year under warranty from Yamaha....Have had NO issues since....Last weekend was at the lake and when idling around in gear, it sounded like the baffle was out of the exhaust....Sounded like an ol school Johnson...but if I barely pressed the gas, it gets quit like it should sound...I do have the engine cover on and though maybe it was covering the port and making it "echo" and sound louder and when more pressure comes out the cover is pushed back a little....I dunno, just weird. Just does it every now and then when its in gear and idling along...sometimes it sounds loud and sometimes its the normal sound....Any ideas??

Could be a blown gasket somewhere or the tuner is bad.

She runs like a top, no misses, smooth as silk....Just sounds like the exhaust has a cut out on it lol....Ran it again this weekend and done the same thing...just putting along it sounds loud then when you barely give it gas, it gets quit again...Weird

Inspect the rubber boot that is on the exhaust relief of the mid section.
