The px68r will certainly cast spybaits well but it's a little fast for my tastes as I have a hard time reeling anything over a 6.3 slow enough. I've been using a Tatula CT P (5.5:1, 23 IPT) but recently purchased a Zillion SV TW 5.5:1 reel from a BBC'er specifically for spybaiting. I've put an RCS 1012 SV spool into the Zillion and spooled it up with 10lb Sunline FC Sniper. Whatever reel you go with, it needs to have a really good drag if you plan throwing spybaits for smallies. The spybaits I use most are Duo 90, Duo 80 GFix and the Storm Arashi one and I use a GLX 852C JWR and a Megabass XX Flatside Special to chuck them

By your name I’d say the 852c tough I much prefer spinning for distance which is critical and smooth effortless drag. I also prefer a 76 rod

You might want to also look at an OG Pixy. Great for light lures and has the slower retrieve .

If you're still looking at combos, TW is clearing out the SV105 P (5.8:1) - http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa...page-D5SV.html. This would be a good spybait reel.

I love my 7'ML daiwa cronos baitcaster for spinbaits.

Aldebaran 50 is what I use, its a super smooth lightweight tank. Casts even the Jackall Iprop like a bullet. The Duos go even farther. I like a med-fast action medium power rod.

Megabass Orochi XX in their medium, fast action wouldn't be a bad pick. Light weight and has a lot of give for those tiny hooks.

A good spybait rod is the G Loomis 822C DSR and there's one for sale here on BBC - http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=861470.
