I've been on the road lately and not posting as much but I thought you guys would appreciate this video. Its amazing to watch the bass' behavior when they think no one is around!

That was extremely educational! I now know why I have a few baits that used to work but now I think don't work very well. I'm a dummy and have let the hooks get banged up and not replaced them. I don't know why I thought it was ok to be lazy on this.

I have never been a good jerkbait fisherman and this video helped me understand why. A majority of the time I fish a jerkbait, I snap it all the way back the boat in small cadences. While I have caught fish doing this, it seems like reeling the bait, stopping it in its tracks, and then a couple snaps really seems to draw a lot of bites. I am sure the preferred pattern changes all the time, but honestly its never been something I have put a lot of time into figuring out.

Cant imagine how many fish you would catch if you followed up each cast with a fluke. That bait seems to get them riled up something fierce. I assume the fish that only half commit would munch a follow up.
