    Transducer location RT198

On my new boat I will be running dual transducers from the console mounted HELIX 9 Mega SI using a "Y" cable. I'm fully aware I will loose bottom at speed with the "SI" transducer and will be mounting a XNT 9 20 as well. For those of you that have an RT198 not running "SI", could you please post pictures of where your transducer is mounted. Thanks in advance!

Mine is mounted on the first step up from the bottom on the right side. I have only lost bottom in pretty rough water. I don’t have the mega, I have the helix 10 gen 1 SI transducer. You may want to mount that bigger mega transducer a little higher to protect it.

Not an 198, but I tried everything to make the high speed transducer work with no luck. Put in an Alumaducer and couldn't be happier.
